In 1999, I published my first novel.  I spent some of the money it made sponsoring the high school education of Siyamthemba Kakaza, Sifiso Mazibuko, Cleopatra Eland and Nadine Moodie. These first KMF Scholars did brilliantly: three of them became School Prefects; one was Head of Day Girls; one has just graduated cum laude with a degree in international relations.

Inspired by their achievements, I decided to set up the Kay Mason Foundation to allow others to taste the joy I had experienced by helping them.  Under the committed patronage of Nobel Peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the Foundation has thrived.  Next year we'll be supporting 70 incredible kids - our biggest year yet.

Remember: Private donors pay the office and admin costs, which means that 100% OF EVERYTHING YOU GIVE HELPS THE KIDS WHO NEED IT.
